Emir Hadzic, PhD
Emir earned his PhD in biochemistry from New York University, where he investigated gene expression regulated by thyroid hormone and identified general transcription factor TFII-B as a necessary functional partner of thyroid hormone receptor. After completing his PhD, Emir was The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fellow at Rockefeller University where he investigated interferon-regulated gene expression, the JAK/STAT signaling pathway, and their functional relationship with the higher-order nucleoprotein structures. Prior to joining Medscape Oncology, Emir has worked across a variety of therapeutic areas in several medical education companies. At McMahon Publishing, Emir used his expertise on hematologic malignancies to develop a successful nationwide-broadcasted educational platform focusing on various types of leukemia and lymphoma.
